Disruptors by necessity
Our generation watched the old guard fail in real time, from the 2008 crash through the pandemic response to entire industries left to grade their own homework. Along the way the traditional roadmap of a degree and a stable corporate job quietly disappeared, and the systems that could have fixed any of it chose the status quo instead.
So the people locked out started building. Nobody picked disruption as an aesthetic, it is simply what you do when the ladder is gone and you still want a future.
